I have a new opportunity for an experienced VAT professional to join a leading national advisory firm. This is a great role for someone looking to take the next step in their tax career, managing a varied portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality VAT advice and compliance services. You will work closely with senior leaders and other service lines, supporting a wide range of businesses while contributing to the continued growth of the team.
This role is ideal for an experienced VAT Manager or Assistant Manager, with CTA/ATII or equivalent with both advisory and compliance experience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee VAT client work, including the review and preparation of VAT returns.
- Lead the planning and implementation of VAT projects to ensure effective, value-driven service delivery within budget.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring expectations on service, quality and cost are met.
- Identify and advise on VAT planning opportunities and undertake specialist technical work.
- Support business development by identifying potential clients and assisting with proposals for new work.
- Collaborate across departments to develop new opportunities and grow the firm's regional VAT offering.
- CTA or ATII qualification (or equivalent), ideally combined with ACA or ACCA.
- Proven experience in indirect tax, including VAT advisory and compliance work.
- Strong client management and project delivery skills.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work within budget and deadlines.
- Effective leadership and team management experience.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
