We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to support a major infrastructure project, providing leadership and technical expertise across the planning function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex project and programme schedules across multiple contractors.
  • Develop, update and monitor client programmes and critical paths.
  • Identify schedule risks and issues, providing mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Produce programme progress, performance and summary reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Review contractor programmes, compensation events and schedule-related commercial matters.
  • Lead planning workshops and agree progress reporting with contractors.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to project planners.
  • Improve planning processes, methodologies and reporting standards.

Essential Experience

  • Strong experience in project/programme planning within major infrastructure projects.
  • Good knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly compensation events.
  • Experience managing contractor programmes in a multi-contract environment.
  • Experience with Primavera, Primavera Enterprise or similar planning software.
  • Strong critical path, schedule management and project controls experience.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and commercial awareness.

Desirable: Railway/signalling experience and knowledge of Earned Value Analysis.
