Systems Technician – Projects

  • We are recruiting for

Systems Technicians to support a major London tram network, carrying out inspection, maintenance, fault-finding and repair across a range of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned and preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs.
  • Work across

SCADA, communications, fibre optics, traction power, CCTV, radio, PABX, passenger information systems and LV systems .

  • Record maintenance and asset information using electronic asset management systems.
  • Identify asset deterioration and recommend remedial action.
  • Support engineering teams and supervise external resources where required.
  • Undertake relevant safety and on-call duties.

Requirements

National Certificate in Engineering or equivalent – essential.

  • Experience in a systems/electrical engineering environment .
  • Experience with

SCADA and communications systems .

  • Experience undertaking systems inspections and surveys.
  • Good record keeping and Microsoft Office skills.
  • SAP/asset management experience desirable.
  • HNC/Higher in Electrical & Electronic Engineering desirable.
  • Rail/tramway safety knowledge desirable.

Training will be provided where required.
