Location: Southwark / Stratford / Hybrid

Working: 50% home working / 50% office and site-based

Contract: 6 months initially

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Architect, Building Surveyor or Building Engineer with Design Management experience to support London Underground Renewals. You will work as a Design Manager / Project Engineer, coordinating different engineering disciplines, managing design information and supporting the London Underground assurance process. This is a varied role involving office, home and site-based working within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate design and engineering activities across different disciplines.
  • Support the delivery of London Underground renewal projects.
  • Manage design interfaces and technical information.
  • Support the London Underground assurance process.
  • Review designs and technical documents.
  • Work with engineers, designers, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Attend site visits and project meetings.
  • Help identify and resolve technical and design issues.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience as an Architect, Building Surveyor or Building Engineer.
  • Strong Design Management experience.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good technical and communication skills.
  • Experience working within a formal assurance or governance process.
  • RIBA, RICS or MCIOB qualification/membership.

Desirable

  • Previous rail or London Underground experience.
  • Experience with renewal, refurbishment or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of rail assurance processes.
