Assistant Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager to join a leading infrastructure programme, supporting the successful delivery of major capital projects.
Working alongside experienced Project Managers, you'll help coordinate project activities, manage assigned work packages and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting engineering, construction or infrastructure projects who is looking to develop their career within a complex project environment.
Support the delivery of projects and programmes from planning through to completion.
Manage assigned work packages and monitor progress against project plans.
Assist with project reporting, governance, scheduling, budgeting and document control.
Identify and escalate project risks, issues and opportunities, providing recommendations where appropriate.
Support the management of project budgets and delivery against agreed timescales.
Work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
Deputise for the Project Manager when required.
Experience supporting infrastructure, engineering or construction projects.
Understanding of project management methodologies and project controls.
Knowledge of planning, risk, reporting and budget management.
APM, PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification is desirable.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive, adaptable and committed to delivering successful project outcomes.
