Project Management Support Specialist
As the Project Management Support Specialist, you will work with a leading defence and aerospace company, supporting engineering, vendor management, and financial operations during industrial system launches.
Responsibilities
- Provide project support for the launch of industrial systems.
- Log, track, and resolve non‑conformances (NCs) during equipment installation and commissioning.
- Own and maintain the master snag list; collaborate with engineers and contractors to close defects before sign‑off.
- Manage, organize, and archive system‑specific documentation, manuals, and validation certificates.
- Prepare CapEx requests, process invoices, and manage goods receipts for tooling.
- Raise and process change proposals (CPs) with external suppliers, managing end‑to‑end timelines.
- Track tooling expenditures against budgets to avoid overruns.
- Coordinate PFMEA action items, ensuring ownership and timely closure.
- Escalate quality or engineering risks that could impact launch timelines.
- Own the weekly and monthly progress reporting framework for the manufacturing engineering department.
- Facilitate review meetings, document action items, and enforce accountability across cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications
- Experience coordinating projects in heavy industrial, automotive, or aerospace manufacturing, particularly during facility launches or major line equipping.
- Direct experience with CapEx requests, purchase orders, invoicing, and goods receipts.
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality tools, including PFMEA tracking, NC management, and snag list resolution.
- Proven track record managing CPs and timelines with third‑party suppliers.
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, or Excel) and document control platforms.
- Experience with proprietary industrial systems such as CIPS or equivalent manufacturing execution/equipping frameworks.
- A background that combines technical engineering understanding with strong financial/administrative discipline.
