Job Title: Funding Officer
Location: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week in the office (London)
Rate: Umbrella £26.94/hr
Duration: Fixed-term / Permanent (full-time)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Funding Officer to provide administrative and business support across the charity’s funding activities. You will work as part of a team to support grant applicants and grantees, ensuring accurate processing, monitoring, and reporting of charitable funding and social investment agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process funding applications and social investment proposals, and manage existing agreements.
- Maintain and update the CRM system (Salesforce), produce reports, and support data management.
- Process grant payments and purchase orders efficiently, following financial regulations.
- Respond to internal and external enquiries regarding funding processes.
- Assist with preparation of committee papers, reports, and general correspondence.
- Contribute to process improvements, CRM development, and team training.
- Support the charity’s values-led culture and undertake general administrative tasks as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in administrative support within charitable or similar organisations.
- Strong written, oral, and customer service skills.
- Confident with databases, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and Excel.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and maintain accuracy.
- Proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Education & Knowledge:
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths, or relevant experience.
- Understanding of voluntary/community sector funding processes.
- Excellent IT skills and attention to detail.
Additional Information:
- Training will be provided. Candidates must demonstrate initiative, strong administrative skills, and a confident telephone and email manner.
