We’re seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team delivering complex, high-value marine and civil engineering projects across the UK.
About the Role
With over 30 years of expertise in marine and civil engineering, this organisation delivers projects such as sea walls, quay piling, dredging, and flood defences. Accredited to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001, the team prides itself on Capability, Integrity, Service, Quality, and Value.
What You’ll Do
- Lead cost planning, forecasting, and value reporting.
- Prepare tenders, variations, and claims; negotiate with clients and subcontractors.
- Manage CVRs, cash flow, and margin performance.
- Oversee procurement and subcontractor compliance.
- Mentor junior QS team members and ensure commercial governance.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering.
- MRICS or CICES (or working towards) desirable.
- Proven experience in civil engineering or marine infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction contracts (NEC, JCT).
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
