Job Title: Environmental Project Engineer Salary: Circa £45,000 – £55,000 depending on experience Location: Hertfordshire (we may be able to offer a relocation package for this role) Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2- 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenshipThe opportunity: You will serve as the technical lead throughout the entire product life cycle, from concept definition and design assistance to formal qualification and in-service support. Our expertise spans areas such as requirements specification and management, proving methodology development, project management, data analysis, simulation and modelling, and testing in climatic, mechanical (vibration and shock), and fatigue conditions. We offer specialised technical guidance, ensuring technical accuracy and the successful delivery of projects within assigned work packages. This role provides ample opportunities for hands-on engineering work, while also engaging in technical tasks grounded in fundamental engineering principles. This position allows you to influence the design, manufacture, and testing of products, while developing your technical skills and gaining valuable experience. It offers the successful engineer a chance to collaborate with senior business leaders, such as Project Heads and Chief Engineers, enabling you to influence key technical decisions.Required role experience: Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience Experience of planning, managing and delivering small to medium sized work packages Knowledge of environmental engineering within the Defence sector or relevant industry Knowledge of vibration, shock, temperature and humidity environments, and their applicability to different products at different life cycle stages An understanding of environmental test processes, test measurements and instrumentation Someone with an analytical mind and excellent problem solving skills Someone who strives for solutions with an inquisitive nature Apply now to join a team that is integral within all land, sea and air-based weapon-system projects!Benefits Package: Company bonus: Up to £2,500 (based on company performance and will vary year to year) Pension: maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14% Overtime: opportunity for paid overtime Flexi Leave: Up to 15 additional days Enhanced parental leave: offers up to 26 weeks for maternity, adoption and shared parental leave.
