Key Responsibilities
As a 3rd Engineer, you will:
- Assist in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of engine room machinery and systems
- Support planned maintenance and defect repairs across mechanical and electrical equipment
- Participate in all statutory fire and safety drills onboard
- Carry out duties assigned during emergency situations as per the muster list
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company procedures
- Assist with bunkering operations and fuel management
- Maintain accurate engine room logs and records
- Support the Chief Engineer and senior engineering officers as required
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must hold:
- 2nd Engineer Unlimited CoC (III/2)
- STCW Basic Training
- STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (PSCRB)
- STCW Seafarers with Designated Security Duties
- Valid ENG1 Medical Certificate
- Proven experience working onboard commercial vessels (passenger vessel experience highly desirable)
- Full right to work and reside in the United Kingdom
