About the Role

Advanced Resource Managers are recruiting on behalf of a leading structural steel and construction specialist for a Tekla Draughtsperson to join their growing design team. This role is ideal for an experienced detailer with strong Tekla Structures expertise, looking to contribute to a wide range of structural steel and architectural metalwork projects from concept through to fabrication and installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate 3D models and detailed drawings using Tekla Structures
  • Generate fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and material lists
  • Interpret architectural and structural engineering drawings/specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and workshop teams
  • Ensure all detailing complies with relevant industry standards and project requirements
  • Identify and resolve design and detailing issues proactively
  • Support project delivery timelines by maintaining quality and efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Tekla Draughtsperson / Steel Detailer
  • Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures
  • Strong understanding of structural steelwork and fabrication processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Site Surveys
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality output

Desirable

  • Experience with architectural metalwork or cladding packages
  • Knowledge of UK steelwork standards (e.g. BS/EN standards)
  • Previous experience working on multi-discipline construction projects
