We are looking for a Connected Car Integration Test Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is responsible for delivering engineering systems and components that meet project requirements, with a focus on system integration, testing, and validation for connected car technologies. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve engineering sign-off for relevant systems and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain test rigs and vehicles for Telematics, Connectivity, Infotainment, and Diagnostics.
- Capture and specify system integration and test requirements.
- Plan, execute, and support test & validation activities.
- Flash, code, debug, and analyse issues on test benches and vehicles.
- Plan and manage project-related activities on a weekly basis.
- Report project status and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with suppliers to drive project deliverables.
- Analyse and resolve complex system integration and testing issues.
- Collect, manage, and analyse logs to identify root causes.
- Deliver clear and effective presentations on test results and findings.
- Define and implement test approaches based on requirements.
- Conduct deep analysis of test issues and reported defects.
- Utilize test automation tools such as Python, Robot Framework, and Anna Framework.
- Maintain documentation for test environments, configurations, and specifications.
- Work effectively within a functional team environment.
- Contribute to achieving team objectives and project goals.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile principles.
- Experience in system testing, integration, manual testing, reporting, and error management.
- Familiarity with VW, Audi, and Porsche ECUs and vehicle platforms.
- Experience with vehicle log analysis (DLT logs, Ethernet/CAN logs).
- Hands-on expertise in automotive diagnostics and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
- Proficiency with VW tools such as ODIS, IDEX, VKMS, CP Tool, ADB, and MQTT.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- UK Driving License (required).
- German language skills (a plus).
