This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with strong Heidenhain CNC programming experience to work on precision-engineered components in a fast-paced workshop environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls
- Operating a range of machine tools including drills, saws, planers and centre lathes
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Inspecting components using precision measuring equipment
- Maintaining high quality standards while meeting production deadlines
What we're looking for:
- Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience
- Proven CNC programming and setting experience with Heidenhain controls (essential)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and carry out workshop calculations
- Experience working safely with overhead cranes
- FeatureCAM experience would be an advantage
