As the Process and Compliance Lead, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.

You will be involved in:

  • Supporting the successful preparation and delivery of the AS Rev D recertification audit by assessing current quality management systems, identifying gaps, and ensuring compliance across all business processes.
  • Driving audit readiness, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities within a dynamic defence engineering environment.
  • Conducting detailed gap analysis between existing processes and AS Rev D requirements.
  • Producing structured reports highlighting non-compliance areas and prioritised corrective actions.
  • Ensuring all documentation and quality records meet regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Developing and delivering internal audit schedules covering product, process, and management systems.
  • Creating audit checklists aligned to AS requirements.
  • Conducting audits through interviews, documentation reviews, and on-site observations.
  • Evaluating effectiveness and compliance of systems and processes.
  • Raising, managing, and tracking Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Leading root cause analysis activities using recognised methodologies.
  • Defining, implementing, and verifying corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Working collaboratively with process owners and operational teams to resolve findings.
  • Providing guidance on compliance requirements and quality standards.
  • Facilitating discussions to support implementation of improvements.
  • Monitoring and reporting progress against audit readiness plans.
  • Presenting audit status, risks, and improvement activities to senior management.
  • Supporting external audit preparation and execution.
  • Contributing to ongoing quality improvements across manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Supporting development and refinement of inspection, testing, and evaluation methods.

Your skillset may include:

  • Strong working knowledge of AS Revision D.
  • Certified Lead Auditor with experience in a regulated manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proven experience in internal and external auditing, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Root Cause Analysis and CAPA methodologies, and Non-Conformance Management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience within the aerospace, defence, or complex engineering sectors.
  • Previous involvement in AS certification or recertification programmes.
