Project Security Consultant

Location: Bristol

Contract: 6 Months

Rate: Up to £79 per hour (Inside IR35)

We are looking for an experienced Project Security Consultant to support the delivery of security governance, assurance, and risk management across high-profile UK programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the security lead for assigned projects.
  • Manage project security risks and maintain Security Management Plans and Risk Registers.
  • Support security governance, audits, assurance activities, and gate reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory security requirements.
  • Produce security reports, dashboards, and updates for project stakeholders.
  • Work with customers, suppliers, and internal security teams to deliver effective security assurance.
  • Provide security input to project planning, change control, and delivery activities.

Essential Experience

  • Experience supporting security governance within project or programme environments.
  • Strong background in security risk management and maintaining risk registers.
  • Experience producing security documentation and supporting audit and assurance activities.
  • Ability to communicate security risks and governance updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of threat intelligence and security incident management.

Qualifications

CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, ISACA CRISC, or an equivalent security qualification.
