I am currently working with a world-renowned ferry operator based in the United Kingdom. They are looking for an experienced Able Seaman to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis!
As an Able Seaman, your duties will be:
- Attending statutory fire and safety drills onboard.
- Mooring & unmooring
- Loading & unloading
- Securing & unlashing of vehicles
- Marshalling of traffic
- General maintenance to parts of the vessel managed by the Chief Officer (cleaning, painting and greasing).
- Carry out duties as set in the muster list during emergencies.
- Carry out lookout and bridge duties.
- Carry out fire and safety patrols.
- Assisting in maintenance of firefighting, safety and lifesaving equipment.
For this role, you must have:
- Able Seafarer CoC.
- Basic STCW training + Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boat training.
- Valid ENG1.
- Previous passenger experience (preferably ferry).
- Current residence and full right-to-work in the United Kingdom.
