Able Seaman

Able Seaman (Permanent) – Ferries – United Kingdom

I am currently working with a world-renowned ferry operator based in the United Kingdom.

They are looking for an experienced Able Seaman to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis!

As an Able Seaman, your duties will be:

– Attending statutory fire and safety drills onboard.

– Mooring & unmooring

– Loading & unloading

– Securing & unlashing of vehicles

– Marshalling of traffic

– General maintenance to parts of the vessel managed by the Chief Officer (cleaning, painting and greasing).

– Carry out duties as set in the muster list during emergencies.

– Carry out lookout and bridge duties.

– Carry out fire and safety patrols.

– Assisting in maintenance of firefighting, safety and lifesaving equipment.

For this role, you must have:

• Able Seafarer CoC.
• Basic STCW training + Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boat training.
• Valid ENG1.
• Previous passenger experience (preferably ferry).
• Current residence and full right-to-work in the United Kingdom.
