12 month contract based in Shawbury, Shrewsbury offering £40.11ph inside IR35.

Do you have an understanding of aircraft maintenance planning and material planning requirements as related to part‑CAMO and similar regulations? Do you have knowledge of helicopter products and their technical documentation? Do you want to work with an industry-leading company? As the Maintenance Planning Engineer, you will be working alongside a market‑leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.

You will be involved in:

  • Follow the company procedures in order to ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with the Maintenance Team and other key departments to ensure a common understanding of maintenance capability and capacity.
  • Enter technical log utilisation data onto the MIS.
  • Review of allocated aircraft maintenance status to ensure compliance with the approved maintenance programme.
  • Preparation and review of maintenance variations.
  • Identify provisional maintenance dates for allocated aircraft based on projected utilisation and keep up to date the in‑house maintenance planning calendar.
  • Review material requirements against provisional maintenance dates for allocated aircraft.
  • Raise reservations/purchase requisitions for required materials.
  • Liaise with Customer Support Managers to confirm maintenance dates with the owner/operator.
  • Liaise with the Airworthiness Department for accomplishment of ADs, SBs, EOs and other airworthiness requirements.
  • Raise scheduled maintenance workpacks and confirm required materials and necessary documentation are available for allocated aircraft.
  • Review workpacks for maintenance inputs to ensure that aircraft downtimes are minimised.
  • Ensure that prior to aircraft departing from Base Maintenance inputs, all planned maintenance has been accomplished and liaise with Customer Support Managers as required.
  • Issue 'Short Term Maintenance Items' forecast for each aircraft.
  • Reset Maintenance tasks on the MIS.
  • Provide cross functional support across the CAMO team.
  • Continually improve the airworthiness processes & procedures to enhance overall efficiency of the Planning department.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Maintenance Planning Supervisor, Continuing Airworthiness Manager or designated deputy.

Your skillset may include:

  • Good understanding of aircraft maintenance planning and material planning requirements as related to Part CAMO / A8-25 & Part 145 / A8-23.
  • Methodical with acute attention to detail.
  • Proactive – ability to recognise potential issues and apply remedial action before they raise concern or affect operations.
  • Must have high computer literacy skills and be competent with Google Suite applications.
  • Knowledge of continuing airworthiness management software for the use of maintenance and materials planning.
  • Knowledge of Helicopter Products and their technical documentation.
