Responsibilities
- Lead service design activities across Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live.
- Produce service maps, journeys, blueprints, and end-to-end service models.
- Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to align user needs, business goals and technology constraints.
- Provide professional advice on service design approaches, risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate service design work to time, quality and business expectations.
- Facilitate workshops, co-design and decision-making forums.
- Support the development of service design practice and mentor junior team members.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in end-to‑end service design (DDa T).
- Ability to produce service artefacts at multiple levels (journeys → blueprints → ecosystems).
- Skilled in evidence‑based design: insight synthesis, problem framing, prioritisation.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, product and policy domains.
- Experience coordinating service design delivery across phases and teams
Desirable
- Exposure to operational service management (ITIL, SLAs, support models).
- Experience in defence, government or regulated environments.
- Working knowledge of adjacent roles (UR, BA, Product, Interaction Design).
- Experience in agile or SAFe delivery environments.
- Professional training/accreditation in service design or human‑centred design.
- Contribution to communities of practice or internal capability uplift.
