A leading tech client of ours is currently in the market for a Microsoft 365 Migration Consultant to work within a new project. You will be responsible for Lead design and execution of migration processes using tools (ShareGate, AvePoint, Quest, Metalogix, BitTitan, Binary Tree, Mover, Migration Manager, HCW, PST import/export).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse file server data to identify ROT content and map structures to Microsoft 365 destinations.
  • Conduct pre/post-migration checks (data integrity, permissions, access, mail flow).
  • Plan and manage migration waves to minimize downtime.
  • Configure/manage hybrid Exchange environments and coexistence (ADFS, Azure AD Connect, HCW).
  • Troubleshoot migration issues (mail flow, directory sync, Outlook connectivity, data errors).
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards (GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Drive user readiness and adoption through stakeholder and change management engagement.
  • Provide escalation support during critical phases and post-migration hypercare.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale migrations to Microsoft 365 (OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online).
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • File server environments (NTFS, SMB).
    • Exchange Server (2019) & Exchange Online.
    • Microsoft 365 services and architecture.
    • Directory sync (Azure AD Connect, ADFS).
    • Migration tools (ShareGate, AvePoint, Quest, Metalogix, BitTitan, Binary Tree, Mover, Migration Manager).
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.
  • Skilled in permissions mapping, data validation, mail flow, and access control in M365.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
