About the Role

An exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Inspector with CMM experience to join a high-precision engineering environment. The successful candidate will ensure that components meet strict quality and airworthiness/aerospace standards, working to high tolerances.

This role requires expertise in coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and a strong background in manual inspection techniques .

You will be responsible for ensuring that all components conform to detailed technical drawings, documentation, and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections using CMM.
  • Ability to set, run and program CMM inspection software and equipment, including FAI requirements and self-inspection.
  • Utilise manual inspection techniques and precision measurement tools .
  • Review and verify technical drawings, routings, and documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Work within strict ISO, CAA, and BSI accredited quality systems.
  • Record, track, and analyse inspection data using SAP and Microsoft Suite.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • Apprenticeship in Aerospace, Automotive, or Precision Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing inspection role.
  • Proven expertise in CMM programming and operation .
  • Strong understanding of precision engineering standards .
  • Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications .
  • Experience working within ISO, CAA, BSI, or equivalent accredited environments .
