SAP Technical Architect - SAP RISE

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Architect to support a major SAP RISE greenfield implementation, rollout, enhancement and steady-state programme.
The role will provide technical leadership for the provisioning, configuration and readiness of new SAP systems and applications, ensuring environments are fully prepared to support functional build, SIT, UAT, performance testing and go-live.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and govern the technical architecture for SAP S/4HANA, SAP RISE, BTP, Fiori/UI5, ABAP and integrated enterprise systems.
- Lead the technical setup and configuration of newly provisioned SAP RISE environments.
- Provide technical leadership across ABAP, Fiori/UI5, OData, CDS Views and SAP Basis teams.
- Design and govern SAP landscapes across DEV, QAS, PRD and DR, ensuring environment stability and readiness.
- Ensure systems meet requirements for performance, scalability, HA, DR, security and operational resilience.
- Lead integration architecture using SAP BTP Integration Suite/CPI, PI/PO, APIs, OData, IDocs, RFCs and event-driven architectures.
- Design end-to-end integrations between SAP and non-SAP platforms including eCommerce, CRM, SCM, WMS, POS and Finance.
- Support technical impact assessments, solution reviews, performance troubleshooting and technical design assurance.
- Establish and enforce development standards, reusable frameworks and clean-core principles.
- Collaborate with functional leads, Basis, development, integration, security and business teams to ensure environments are ready for testing and deployment.
Essential Experience
- Strong hands-on experience as an SAP Technical Architect across large-scale S/4HANA implementations.
- Proven experience with SAP RISE and greenfield implementations/rollouts.
- Strong technical knowledge of S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Basis, ABAP, Fiori/UI5, OData and CDS Views.
- Experience leading technical teams across Basis, ABAP and front-end development.
- Strong understanding of SAP environment provisioning, landscape design, system sizing, performance, HA/DR and security.
- Extensive integration experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite/CPI, PI/PO, APIs, IDocs, RFCs and event-driven patterns.
- Experience preparing SAP environments for SIT, UAT, performance testing and production go-live.
- Experience integrating SAP with complex non-SAP enterprise and retail platforms.
- Working knowledge of SAP cloud environments and public cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Strong SAP security knowledge covering roles/authorisations, SSO, encryption and compliance.
