Principal Firmware Engineer at Advanced Resource Managers Ltd.

We are seeking a Principal Firmware Engineer to join our team in Luton for a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and developing firmware solutions, particularly in FPGA architectures.

This position requires the ability to obtain a high level of UK Security Clearance due to the nature of the work.

What you'll do

  • Develop and design tools using Xilinx, TCL, Verilog, System Verilog, and UVM.
  • Work on FPGA architectures including Xilinx 7, Xilinx UltraScale, Intel (Altera), or Microsemi (Actel).
  • Implement high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, and JESD.
  • Generate code through model-driven engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in firmware engineering.
  • Proficiency in Xilinx tools and FPGA design.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware description languages including Verilog and System Verilog.
  • Experience with high-speed communication protocols like PCIe and Ethernet.
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with UVM methodology.
  • Experience in working with Intel (Altera) or Microsemi (Actel) FPGA products.
