We are recruiting experienced Rolling Stock Engineers with Mechanical or Electrical backgrounds to support a major overhaul and refurbishment programme based at Acton Depot.

The role will involve:

  • Producing detailed Work Instructions from OEM specifications
  • Resolving technical issues
  • Validating SAP Routings and BOMs
  • Supporting operational teams through technical guidance and training

Candidates must be able to interpret engineering, assembly, and manufacturing drawings and work closely with production and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions.

Typical Workstreams include:

  • Bogie overhaul
  • Braking systems and sub-components
  • Wheelsets, axles, and gearboxes
  • Door systems
  • Motors, alternators, compressors, and fans
  • AC traction systems
  • Electrical and electronic assemblies

Requirements:

  • Rolling stock engineering experience preferred
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Experience with overhaul, manufacturing, or maintenance environments
  • Knowledge of SAP Routings and BOMs advantageous
  • Ability to resolve complex engineering issues

Engineers from other highly regulated sectors such as aerospace may also be considered where transferable experience is relevant.
