Are you an experienced Industrial Engineer?

Do you have experience improving manufacturing performance, labour utilisation and product costing within an FMCG environment?

If so, this could be the role for you!

We are partnered with a leading global manufacturing business who are looking to hire an Industrial Engineer to support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

This role plays a key part in analysing manufacturing processes, developing labour standards, improving efficiency and delivering cost-saving projects while supporting new product introductions.

This role is offered initially for 12 months, working 08:15-16:30 Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain labour standards and product costing models.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and production launches.
  • Analyse manufacturing data to identify trends, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct time studies, line balancing activities and productivity assessments.
  • Support production teams with labour planning and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Review and validate labour standards during initial production runs.
  • Lead value engineering and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Produce detailed reports and recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Participate in strategic and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, planning and finance teams to optimise performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree qualified, ideally within Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, cosmetics, pharmaceutical or food production environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience conducting time studies, work measurement and process improvement activities.
  • Understanding of labour costing, manufacturing efficiency and productivity analysis. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
