Commercial Manager
Location: London - Pier Walk / Hybrid
Rate: £529 per day Umbrella

We are recruiting for experienced Commercial Managers to join a number of teams within a major public sector organisation.
These opportunities cover a wide range of industries and commercial categories, with roles spanning procurement, professional services, infrastructure, engineering, technology, corporate services and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage commercial and procurement activities across complex programmes.
- Manage, lead and support commercial/procurement teams, providing direction, coaching and professional development.
- Allocate workloads, monitor performance and support the development of team members.
- Lead complex tenders, evaluations, negotiations and contract activity.
- Develop commercial and procurement strategies.
- Manage contracts, frameworks, suppliers, risk and change.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and suppliers.
- Provide commercial advice and support strategic decision-making.
- Drive best practice, continuous improvement and value for money.
About You
We are looking for experienced Commercial Managers with proven team management and leadership experience, alongside strong commercial/procurement expertise.
You should have:
- Proven experience leading and managing teams within a commercial or procurement environment.
- Experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
- Strong commercial and/or procurement experience.
- Experience managing complex contracts, procurements or commercial programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and providing commercial advice.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- Public sector experience is highly desirable, although relevant private sector experience will also be considered.
- CIPS or another relevant professional qualification is desirable but not essential.
