An exciting contract opportunity for an experienced Asset Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead the management of highway electrical assets in Doncaster. You will oversee maintenance, replacement, and compliance testing programmes, support street lighting policy, and ensure safety and efficiency for the local highway network.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead highway electrical asset management, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, and H&S requirements.
- Develop and manage cyclic and reactive maintenance programmes, controlling budgets and costs.
- Maintain accurate asset records and statutory certifications.
- Handle unmetered energy extract, accident damage, and insurance claims.
- Provide technical guidance for energy-efficient lighting and traffic schemes.
- Deputise for the CMS Manager and Highways Electrical Duty Holder as required.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Level 7 engineering qualification; NVQ Level 4+ in street lighting/electrical engineering.
- Registration with the Engineering Council (Eng. Tech) or equivalent.
- SMSTS and IET BS7671 Wiring Regulations qualified.
- Proven experience managing electrical assets, subcontractors, and asset management systems.
- Strong knowledge of unmetered supply, ILP TR22/GN22 codes, CDM, and Chapter 8.
- Full, clean driving licence.
