We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of projects within an Engineering Vehicles function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of projects and assigned work packages.
  • Assist with project planning, coordination and delivery activities.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders across the business.
  • Support reporting, risk and issue management, budget tracking and project governance.
  • Identify emerging issues and provide recommendations or elevate where required.
  • Monitor delivery against agreed time, cost, quality and scope requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and best practice.
  • Deputise for the Project Manager when required.
  • Attend regular depot visits, with occasional night shifts possible.

About You

  • Previous experience working as an Assistant Project Manager with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience supporting project delivery within a complex or multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Strong project planning, coordination and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and project controls.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable.
  • A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background would be advantageous, although candidates from other engineering or relevant technical backgrounds will be considered.
