About the Role
ARM is recruiting on behalf of a leading renewable energy organisation for a Planning Project Manager / Graduate to join an established planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional to develop within the renewable energy sector, supporting the delivery of wind, solar PV, and battery storage projects across the UK. The role offers exposure to planning applications, site feasibility studies, and renewable energy development processes within a fast-paced and technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and submission of planning applications
- Assist with planning research and site feasibility studies
- Prepare plans, visuals, and supporting documents for planning activities
- Review and assess sites for wind, solar PV, and battery storage potential
- Assist in identifying and evaluating new development opportunities across the UK
- Work closely with planning and development teams to progress projects
- Use GIS and mapping tools to support site selection and analysis
Essential Requirements
- Degree qualified in Planning, Renewable Energy, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline
- Experience with ArcGIS and AutoCAD
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical and process-driven approach
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Interest or experience in renewable energy, particularly wind energy
- Associate membership (or working towards) RTPI or IEMA
