ARM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support projects across the Midlands, Southwest & Wales in sectors including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, transport, defence, and energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify electrical systems: power, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection.
- Produce calculations (Excel, Amtech, Dialux/Relux) and technical specifications (NBS).
- Collaborate with BIM/Revit teams; conduct site surveys and inspections.
- Manage workload, budgets, and support junior staff.
- Maintain quality, environmental, and governance standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering (or equivalent); Chartered preferred (CIBSE/IET).
- Experience in design consultancy or contractor design environment.
- Proficient with Amtech/Prodesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS, Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of energy reduction, decarbonisation, and building physics.
- Strong report writing, client engagement, and independent working skills.
