Permanent role based in Ampthill offering up to £70,000.
Do you have experience supporting New Product Introduction and product lifecycle quality activities? As the Quality Engineering Lead, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.
Responsibilities:
- Own the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for Quality.
- Functionally manage the Quality Engineers across both business areas.
- Own the Quality Engineering command media (for example non-conformance process, control plans and quarantine) ensuring they are reviewed and updated regularly.
- Upskill the team to meet the needs of the projects - identify and deliver training.
- Point of contact for Quality Engineering metric corrective actions coming out of reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement to lean the processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Significant experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing, aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems, quality assurance methodologies, and problem-solving techniques.
- Proven experience leading quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities.
- Experience supporting NPI and product lifecycle quality activities.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and improving quality processes and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and deliver measurable business benefits.
- Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
- Lean Practitioner, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, or equivalent Continuous Improvement certification.
- Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor qualification.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
