The Opportunity We are seeking a Capability Management Planning Specialist to support the development, deployment, and ongoing management of engineering processes and toolsets within a complex engineering environment.

This role will focus on ensuring engineering teams have the capabilities, tools, and processes required to deliver programmes effectively, while working closely with digital and engineering stakeholders to identify improvements and drive capability development.

Must have SC Clearance level active

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the engineering tools and process capability management system.
  • Support the deployment of new engineering capabilities while ensuring existing capabilities are effectively sustained.
  • Identify capability gaps, opportunities for standardisation, and areas for collaboration across engineering teams.
  • Work closely with engineering and digital teams to deliver process and toolset improvements.
  • Support the development of business cases for engineering tool and process capability initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain plans to deliver engineering capability improvements within agreed budgets.
  • Monitor and report on capability development activities and progress.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Active SC Clearance (mandatory).
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience supporting engineering capability management, engineering processes, or engineering IT tools.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and engage with a range of technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working within an engineering or aerospace environment.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Model-Based Engineering (MBE) approaches and associated toolsets.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience developing or supporting engineering process improvement initiatives.
  • Previous experience in capability management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent industry experience is desirable.
