Contract Duration: 6 months
Pay: Up to £70 per hour (Inside IR35)
Responsibilities:
- Leading the functional PMO and being the PMO point of contact, identifying solutions to any issues and taking action to resolve them.
- Responsibility for answering any PMO related queries.
- Developing the PMO strategy and implementing any associated initiatives.
- Building relationships with Group and senior stakeholders, leading PMO and governance related meetings/boards and representing Mission Systems at Group level governance meetings.
- Owning the implementation of governance related change and improvements, including templates and guidance.
- Implementing and integrating governance/project assessment tools, functional dashboards, best practice knowledge areas and any other future initiatives.
- Oversight and maintenance of PM governance related GBMS documents along with the transition of documents into Agility.
- Managing the adoption of governance documents that are not currently in use, reviewing and proposing documentation to implement and roll out amongst teams.
Experience required:
- Experience in a similar PMO lead role, project delivery or project controls.
- A significant understanding of project governance and controls, with experience of implementing them on projects.
- Experience of leading and motivating direct and indirect teams and working with varying levels of senior stakeholders.
- Experience of implementing and communicating change across a matrix organisation.
