Planning Officer (Development Control) Location: Nuneaton Town Hall, Nuneaton Rate: £24.05 per hour (Umbrella) Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: 3-Month Rolling Contract An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning Officer to join a busy Development Control team on a 3-month rolling contract. The Role You will be responsible for: Managing a varied caseload of planning applications. Preparing reports and recommendations under delegated powers and for Planning Committee. Negotiating with applicants, consultees and stakeholders. Assisting with planning appeals and enforcement matters. Monitoring developments and discharging planning conditions. Negotiating Section 106 Agreements. Providing professional planning advice to customers and stakeholders. About You You will have: Experience in Development Control within Local Government or the public sector. Knowledge of planning legislation, policy and development management processes. Excellent communication and report-writing skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
