The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CAD Manager to join a major infrastructure project in the South East.
This is a leadership role sitting within the Engineering Surveying function, responsible for overseeing survey CAD operations, developing standards and workflows, and ensuring accurate and compliant CAD data is available across engineering, design and site teams.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee the production, processing and delivery of survey CAD data in line with project specifications.
- Work closely with Engineering Surveying, Engineering and Design teams to ensure the correct CAD data and standards are being used.
- Develop and maintain CAD standards, procedures, best practice and workflows.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure CAD deliverables meet project requirements.
- Ensure design information is correctly transferred to engineering and survey teams for use on site.
- Work with surveying and utility teams to ensure subsurface and utility data is accurately represented within CAD.
- Provide technical guidance, training and support on CAD and survey software.
- Manage CAD software licences, upgrades and associated hardware resources.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, industry regulations and project requirements.
- Support safe working practices, particularly around subsurface data and information used for site activities.
- What You'll Bring
- 5+ years' experience in CAD, survey data management or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management position.
- Strong experience processing and delivering survey data in multiple CAD formats.
- Excellent knowledge of CAD software such as Auto CAD, Revit, Micro Station or similar.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 BIM processes and protocols.
- Previous experience working on construction, civil engineering or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of CAD standards and technical documentation.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- A degree in Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology or a related discipline would be advantageous.
