Role Summary
People Operations sits at the centre of the organisation, overseeing hiring, onboarding, learning and development, culture initiatives, internal communications, and day‑to‑day processes.
As a People Operations Associate, you’ll be the first point of contact for the wider team, coordinate processes, solve practical problems, and ensure a positive employee experience.

- Coordinate the practical and human aspects of new employee arrival, ensuring a positive start.
- Oversee pre‑employment screening to meet compliance while providing a smooth experience.
- Continuously improve onboarding into a thoughtful and memorable experience that sets people up for long‑term success.
- Learning and Development
- Manage the induction programme, ensuring it equips new joiners with knowledge, skills, context and connections.
- Coordinate and organise learning resources, creating a searchable library of training materials and guides.
- Act as a key point of contact for learning activities, helping teams identify relevant training and ensuring access.
- Gather feedback, track engagement, analyse participation data, and recommend improvements or new resources.
- People Operations Administration
- Ensure people’s data is accurate and up‑to‑date across Hi Bob, by proactive follow‑up with employees and managers.
- Coordinate the administration of employee benefits, acting as a point of contact for routine queries.
- Maintain organisational charts and team structures for clear understanding of responsibilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, reduce manual tasks, strengthen documentation and increase efficiency.
- Support a variety of ad hoc People Operations activities and projects, responding to emerging priorities.
Who You Are
We welcome candidates in their first People Ops role or with some experience.
We look for the right person who is open to learning and willing to get stuck in, rather than a specific degree or established experience.
Essential Criteria
- Very strong administrative skills, highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Creative thinker capable of challenging status quo.
- Strong judgement and initiative, able to think multiple steps ahead to solve problems proactively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Diplomacy and ability to remain discreet and confidential.
- Strong IT skills.
- Team player willing to jump in where needed and excited by a fast‑paced, early‑stage startup environment.
Desirable Criteria
- Comfortable navigating and utilising Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).
