This is an outstanding opportunity for experienced engineers with a passion for FPGA and ASIC development to work with world-class infrastructure on advanced projects. As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in the design, integration, and system-level validation of IPs and subsystems for both FPGA and ASIC platforms, supporting a range of markets from wireless telecommunications to aerospace and defense. You will also mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices within the team. This position offers the chance to influence leading-edge technologies and applications that are critical to AMD and our customers' success, with clear opportunities for career progression, including future team management roles.
You are a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with colleagues across different sites and time zones. Your strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with a commitment to continuous learning, enable you to tackle complex challenges and elevate the capabilities of those around you.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead technical discussions and collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and software engineers to define and implement new features.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, design reviews, and professional development.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, detailing interactions with other hardware and software components.
- Estimate development timelines for new features and required test environment modifications, and help junior engineers with project planning.
- Design and implement RTL for new features, modules, or systems, ensuring high quality and performance.
- Write software and scripts to control, exercise and test modules or systems.
- Debug test failures, identify root causes, and work with the verification team to resolve design defects and ensure robust solutions.
- Champion continuous improvement in design and validation processes within the team.
- Take on increasing leadership responsibilities, with opportunities to progress into team management roles.
Experience in modern, complex digital processing architectures, digital design, and FPGA/ASIC tool flows with a deep understanding of system-level design and strong software development and integration skills. You have a proven track record of technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and driving projects to successful completion.
Education:BSc or Masters in Electrical or Computer engineering or related field.
