CRP Subsea is looking for a Night Production Managerto support our Operations Team in Skelmersdale.
This is a newly created role for the business as we look to continue growing and developing our people and our processes. You will participate in the Local Operations Leadership Team, contribute to the delivery of annual business plans, contribute to the overall CRP strategy and run the local manufacturing facility on the night shift to achieve approved targets.
You will be expected to take the site leadership role for the night shift managing both production and maintenance staff. With the responsibility of:
- Efficiently managing the production and maintenance resources in keeping with the manufacturing facility requirements, ensuring the care and development of production employees.
- Delivering plant production goals and objectives and working with the Department Production Managers on improving processes across the site.
- Providing guidance and mentoring to the Shift Production Leads and leadership to the wider team to help develop strong teams who strive for improvement every day.
Your main duties will include:
- Management of night shift production and maintenance resources to achieve maximum productivity and material utilization within the requirements of the production schedule.
- Management of production and maintenance employees to optimize their contribution to the manufacturing unit with particular emphasis on efficient individual and team working through adequate communication and training.
- Ensure strict compliance with, and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with reference to health, safety and quality.
- Effective handovers to the Department Production Managers to ensure a smooth transition from the night shift with a full update of issues and output.
- Ensure that the housekeeping is maintained to the highest standard and work with the departments to implement and sustain 5S where required.
- Participate in developing the manufacturing unit’s activities e.g. working practices, equipment specifications, improvements in productivity and quality.
- Providing direction as well as training to employees to accomplish company goals and objectives
- Development and management of the manufacturing audit schedule relating to SOP’s, H&S, 5S etc.
- Production of defect-free product that meets with customer specifications.
- Leading change and integrating best practice
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time

Education & Experience:
- Diploma, or equivalent level in a manufacturing, engineering or sciences discipline or relevant experience in a similar role
- Proven track record within a fast paced, demanding manufacturing environment
- Involvement in change initiatives and projects with a view to continual improvement
- Managing, building and developing strong teams
- Annual salary of up to £55,000, dependent on experience
