Seeking an Interim Quantity Surveyor (QS) on an ongoing project, this is a highly skilled role in the business. As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all financial and contractual aspects of projects from initial concept through to completion. Playing a key part in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards.
Daily Rate: depending on working experience in the role
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and quantity take-offs for materials, labour, and equipment
- Manage contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify completed work, and prepare valuations and claims
- Identify and manage financial and construction risks, recommending mitigation strategies
- Liaise with clients, contractors, site teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including contracts, budgets, and reports
Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract law, and industry regulations
- Proficiency in cost management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, estimating software)
