Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer from a Food or FMCG manufacturing background? A client in Nottingham is looking to strengthen their Maintenance team with Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineers (however either bias is welcome). Working 4 on 4 off shift pattern with both days and nights available. As a Maintenance Engineer you will be apprentice trained and have a strong understanding of Food UK Health and Safety laws. Offering a salary of £55-57K depending on shift preference + many benefits.
Responsibilities
- Working in a team of Engineers, attending breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Supporting with reliability projects.
- Diagnose faults efficiently with strong technical knowledge and hands‑on maintenance skills - both planned and reactive maintenance.
- Complete all required documentation and service reports accurately.
- Work in line with SOPs, SSOWs and technical standards, ensuring all compliance with regulations and H&S requirements.
- Accurately record job data in the engineering system - this supports inventory control and cost management.
- Provide technical support, including root cause analysis and effective problem solving.
- Promote a strong safety culture across health, safety, and food safety.
Qualifications
- BTEC / NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical.
- Strong knowledge of Food manufacturing regulations.
- Strong communicator.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- PLC knowledge (fault finding and/or programming is advantageous).
