Are you a Welder / Fabricator looking to join a growing manufacturing business in Hertfordshire? My client is looking for x2 Fabricators/Welders to join their business due to growth.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm (Flexible hours to finish early on Fridays)

Hourly Rates: £18 - £20.50 per hour - can be discussed over the phone to clarify.

Job Role:

  • Carrying out TIG and MIG welding on a variety of metal components, mainly stainless steel and aluminium.
  • Working with a range of material grades, primarily thinner materials up to 6mm thick.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, sketches, and technical information to prepare jobs correctly and carry out dimensional checks before welding.
  • Fabricating and assembling sheet metal and metal structures to specification.
  • Dressing and fettling your own work to achieve a high-quality finish.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication.
  • Skilled in TIG and MIG welding.
  • Confident reading and working from engineering and technical drawings.
  • Experience fabricating and working with sheet metal products.
  • Able to dress and fettle your own work to a high standard.
  • Experience working with stainless steel and aluminium is essential.
