Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Stevenage? You will be electrically biased and have experience of working within a food / FMCG environment. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Offering a salary of £51,750 working a 4 on 4 off days & night shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on production equipment
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise disruption to production
- Repair and maintain the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic elements of the plant
- Fault-find and resolve recurring machinery issues
- Support the development and improvement of planned maintenance systems
- Carry out routine checks, lubrication and scheduled maintenance
- Ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve issues
Ideal Candidate:
- Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer, qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background
- Experience working within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and drives
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental standards
