QHSE Engineer / Manager Bedford £40,000 - £45,000 excellent benefits An established engineering business is looking for an experienced QHSE Engineer / Manager to lead and develop its Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety systems, while working closely with Engineering, Purchasing and suppliers across the UK and Europe. Key duties for QHSE Engineer / Manager role * Maintain and develop ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 management systems. * Manage QHSE policies, procedures, audits and compliance. * Conduct internal and supplier audits and manage external certification audits. * Lead quarterly HSE meetings and management reviews. * Develop quality plans and work instructions. * Manage supplier quality, delivery performance and corrective actions. * Carry out supplier assessments and visits across the UK and Europe. * Work closely with Engineering and Purchasing to ensure technical and quality requirements are met. * Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance for the site facilities. About you as the QHSE Engineer / Manager * 5+ years' experience in a similar QHSE role within an engineering/manufacturing environment. * Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and H&S legislation * NEBOSH General Certificate * Internal Auditor qualification/experience required; Lead Auditor desirable. * Strong understanding of engineering processes including casting, forging, machining, NDT. * Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. * Experience working with suppliers and MRP systems would be advantageous
