Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer who has experience of running projects, looking for the next step in your career? A leading manufacturing business in Stoke on Trent is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team who has experience of managing small projects as well as strong understanding of H&S compliance. Offering a salary of £55K working Monday to Friday days, you will be managing capital projects within their Engineering department.
The Role:
- Accountable for the management and delivery of the engineering capital plan.
- Providing engineering support to non-engineering derived capital projects.
- Ensure the annual capital plan is delivered on time, on cost, in full, with engagement and involvement from key stakeholders.
- Ensure all new equipment or installation is delivered right first time.
- Determine project schedules by studying project plans and specifications, calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements.
- Control the project plan by reviewing design, specifications, scheduling changes and recommending actions.
- Controlling project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
- Identify improvements within the production environment and manage proposals from conception to completion.
- Ensure H&S is at the forefront of planning and execution of all project work.
- Assist in delivering the H&S documentation.
Suitable Candidate:
- Experienced Project Engineer from an Engineering Manufacturing business.
- Time served Maintenance Engineer.
- IOSH Managing safely Cert is advantageous.
- Experience of delivering engineering improvement projects.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of Automation and Robotics would be ideal.
