Are you an experienced Production Planner, looking to join a thriving business who are growing due to increased order books? Do you have experience of working within an engineering manufacturing business planning production for a machine shop? Offering a salary of £35-44K dependent on experience, working Monday to Thursday 7.30 - 16.30 and Friday 7.30 - 12.30.

The role:
- Plan and prepare production schedules
- Coordinate workloads across manufacturing departments and monitor production capacity
- Ensuring minimal downtime as well as on time delivery
- Monitor progress of jobs through the factory and adjust schedules where required
- Deliver efficient, effective and flexible solutions to meet production requirements
- Update ERP/MRP systems with accurate planning and production information
- Maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure the supply of materials meets requirements
- Implement robust planning processes for the team leaders / senior operators so they can report against and manage capacity
Suitable Candidate:
- Previous planning/scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow
- Experience and confident using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft office packages
- Experience within steel fabrication or engineering manufacturing is advantageous
