A busy manufacturing business in Sheffield is currently recruiting for experienced Fabricators to join their team.
The Role:
- Mark out, cut, shape, form and assemble plate, section and fabricated components
- Use appropriate fabrication tools, machinery and equipment safely and correctly
- Prepare, align and tack components ready for welding, ensuring they meet required standards
- Check work for accuracy, quality and compliance with drawings and specifications
- Work safely with overhead cranes, lifting equipment and mechanical handling equipment where trained and authorised
- Report defects, drawing issues, material concerns or production problems to the line manager
Suitable Candidate:
- Experience of working as a Plater / Fabricator within a fabrication or heavy manufacturing background
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong fabrication, measuring, marking out and assembly skills
- Health and Safety awareness around lifting material and handling the fabrication equipment
- Reliable and proactive person able to work as part of a team
