Shift Pattern: Double Days (6am - 2pm, 10pm - 6am), Monday to Friday

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with a Mechanical bias to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and attending to breakdowns to ensure smooth operations of production machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production and packaging machinery.
  • Perform regular PPM to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and ensure machinery is quickly restored to operation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to enhancing machinery performance.
Requirements
  • Mechanical bias with relevant qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work double-day shifts, including early morning and late evening.
