We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with a Mechanical bias to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and attending to breakdowns to ensure smooth operations of production machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production and packaging machinery.
- Perform regular PPM to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and ensure machinery is quickly restored to operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to enhancing machinery performance.
- Mechanical bias with relevant qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work double-day shifts, including early morning and late evening.
- £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
