Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Wellingborough? You will have experience of working within a FMCG environment and play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Offering a salary of up to c 47,000 working Monday - Friday - no nights & no weekends.

Hours of work:

  • (Week 1) 6am - 2pm
  • (Week 2) 2pm - 10pm
  • (Week 3) 8am - 4pm

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer your role will involve:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in accordance with maintenance schedules
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using the company's CMMS system
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and engineering standards
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, and Operations teams to achieve business objectives

Suitable Candidate:

  • Apprentice trained (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent)
  • Experienced within manufacturing environments
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Experience with motors, sensors, inverters, conveyors, pneumatics
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in food, FMCG, packaging, or process manufacturing
  • PLC fault-finding experience
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
  • 18th Edition qualification
  • Experience using CMMS software
