We are looking for a skilled and proactive Day Shift Engineer to join our maintenance team. This role is key to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out machine start-up procedures and ensure equipment is ready for safe and efficient production.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Support proactive maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operation of machinery.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong fault-finding skills (mechanical and/or electrical).
  • Experience with PPM systems and maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship preferred.
