Are you an experienced Production Engineer looking to join a manufacturing company based in Aston, Birmingham? You will have experience of working within a manufacturing environment. As a Production Engineer you will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, looking at root cause analysis, pushing important problems for review and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Offering a salary of £40K - £55K to work Monday to Friday with a flexibility of working hours (core hours being 8-4pm).

As a Production Engineer your role will involve:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce production costs.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components.
  • Train and mentor production staff on new processes and techniques.
  • Support Engineering technician.
  • Analyse data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and action accordingly.
  • Plan and schedule production activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Design, troubleshoot, and optimise production machinery and equipment.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday. Core hours being 8-4pm (with flexibility on start and finish times, ensuring weekly hours are met).

Suitable Candidates:

  • Apprentice trained (NVQ3) or a minimum of 6 years of experience in a technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards.
